ENGINEERING

Engineering is the art of capturing sound. You can choose to hire Jack to work with you on location, or at any one of New York City’s recording facilities, or even in his Brooklyn apartment. Whatever your budget determines, Jack will be sure to get the sounds you want and need. For more information, please use the “Contact” tab above.

MIXING

Mixing is the art of blending your recorded tracks into a final and cohesive whole. This includes, but is not limited to balancing volume and adjusting dynamics, manipulating tone, and placing tracks in different areas in the stereo/surround field for the purpose of giving your song life and space. Jack has learned from the best of the best across all genres and is a sure fit for your project. Jack mixes "in the box" within Pro Tools at his home studio, but is also fluent on most SSL, Euphonix (now Avid), and Neve consoles.

EDITING

Editing is the first step after the actual tracking process. This process can include comping tracks and sifting through all of those annoying playlists, tuning vocals and instruments, quantizing and cleaning up drums, drum sound replacing with samples, and prepping/organizing sessions for the mixing stage. Once this process is over, any other mix engineer or I can open the session, press play and get right to work.

PRO TOOLS OPERATION

Are you working on an huge tracking project? Would you like to pawn off some of that responsibility so you can focus on the sounds you're hearing as opposed to keeping track of files and playlists? Look no further. Jack's experience as an assistant at MSR Studios speaks for itself. He has worked on a dozen Broadway cast albums, among many other large tracking dates as a Pro Tools operator.
